Your New Job

As a school social worker in Jönköping Municipality, you will work proactively and preventively to strengthen students' social and emotional development. You will be part of the school's student health team and collaborate with students, guardians, and school staff, always with the student's best interests in focus.

The work primarily involves supporting students' social development and relationship-building to create safety in our schools. You will be an important link between the student, family, and school, and sometimes also between the school and external actors such as social services, outreach teams, police, child and adolescent psychiatry, and leisure activities. You will also provide important support to relieve guardians in external contacts and coordinate efforts to ensure they are followed up.

You will have a special assignment to keep attendance work alive at the school and continue to develop preventive attendance work together with other school staff.

In addition to this, you will continue to develop group-level interventions that contribute to increased well-being, safety, and study focus.

Approximately 550 students attend Rosenlund School Grades 7-9, and 60 staff members work here. Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who is a trained social worker and has experience working with children, youth, and families in complex life situations. You are accustomed to collaborating with various actors within the school, social services, and other parts of society, and you have a good ability to build trusting relationships. Your approach is solution-oriented, you communicate clearly, and you treat people with warmth and respect.

Experience from residential care, secure units, or work in socio-economically disadvantaged areas is an advantage. If you also have experience handling difficult conversations and collaborating across organizational boundaries, it is a significant asset in the role.

As a person, you are secure, attentive, and have a knack for reading situations and meeting people where they are. You have a holistic perspective, enjoy collaborating, and share our conviction about every child's right to safety, learning, and hope for the future.
